 \n\n\n\nLet’s warm up the start of the year with four Bay Area poets! 
 Please join us for a special reading curated and hosted by Los Gatos Town 
 Poet Laureate Jen Siraganian. Featuring William Ward Butler\, Alan 
 Chazaro\, Mary Pacifico Curtis\, and Janice Lobo Sapigao.\n\n\n\nWilliam 
 Ward Butler is a writer and educator from Northern California. He is the 
 author of the chapbook Life History from Ghost City Press\, selected for 
 the 2020 Poets House Showcase. His poems have appeared in Assaracus\, 
 Bodega Magazine\, Hobart\, Tinderbox Poetry\, Quiet Lightning\, and other 
 journals. In the spring of 2019 he was selected for AWP’s Writer to 
 Writer Mentorship. He has also received support from the Napa Valley 
 Writers’ Conference and the Community of Writers.\n\n\n\nAlan Chazaro is 
 the author of This Is Not a Frank Ocean Cover Album (Black Lawrence Press\, 
 2019)\, Piñata Theory (Black Lawrence Press\, 2020)\, and Notes from the 
 Eastern Span of the Bay Bridge (Ghost City Press\, 2021). He is a graduate 
 of June Jordan’s Poetry for the People program at UC Berkeley and a 
 former Lawrence Ferlinghetti Fellow at the University of San Francisco. He 
 writes for SFGATE\, KQED\, Datebook\, Oaklandside\, and other 
 publications\, and is on Twitter and IG @alan_chazaro.\n\n\n\nMary Pacifico 
 Curtis is the author of Between Rooms and The White Tree Quartet\, both 
 chapbooks published by WordTech's Turning Point imprint\, as well as the 
 newly published Understanding Moonseed\, a memoir in essays. Her poetry and 
 prose has appeared in The Crab Orchard Review\, The Rumpus\, The Tupelo 
 Quarterly\, LOST Magazine\, The Naugatuck River Review\, and Narrative 
 Magazine. Her work is also included in numerous anthologies. \n\n\n\nJanice 
 Lobo Sapigao (she/her) is a daughter of immigrants from the Philippines. 
 She is the author of two books of poetry\, microchips for millions 
 (Philippine American Writers and Artists\, Inc.\, 2016) and like a solid to 
 a shadow (Nightboat Books\, 2017). She was a VONA/Voices Fellow and was 
 awarded a Manuel G. Flores Prize\, PAWA Scholarship to the Kundiman Poetry 
 Retreat. She is a Poetry Editor at Angel City Review\, and co-founder of 
 Sunday Jump in Los Angeles's Historic Filipinotown. Her work has been 
 published in various anthologies. She is the 2020-2021 Santa Clara County 
 Poet Laureate.
