April showers bring May poems by California's best writers! Join us for a special poetry reading curated and hosted by newly inducted Town Poet Laureate Jen Siraganian. Featuring Dan Bellm, Lee Herrick, Thea Matthews, and Camille Norton. Q&A to follow.

Author Bios:

Dan Bellm has published four books of poems, most recently Deep Well (Lavender Ink, 2017). Recent poetry translations include Speaking in Song by Pura López Colomé and The Song of the Dead by Pierre Reverdy. He lives in Berkeley and teaches literary translation and poetry at Antioch University L.A. www.danbellm.com.

Lee Herrick is the author of three books, including Scar and Flower, finalist for the 2020 Northern California Book Award, and he co-edited The World I Leave You: Asian American Poets on Faith and Spirit. He teaches at Fresno City College and the MFA program at Sierra Nevada University.

Thea Matthews is a poet, author, and educator. Her debut poetry collection Unearth [The Flowers] was listed as part of the Best Indie Poetry of 2020 by Kirkus Reviews. Her work has appeared in The New Republic, Atlanta Review, The Rumpus, and others.

Camille Norton is the author of A Folio for the Dark, published in 2019, and Corruption: Poems, which won the National Poetry Series in 2005. A member of Sixteen Rivers Press in San Francisco, she is also a professor of English at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
