Monday Morning Book Club In-Person
Join us for a discussion of The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai.
Multi-generational take of the Tran family set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War. Vivid and steeped in the language and traditions of Vietnam, the book brings to life the human costs of the conflict from the point of view of the Vietnamese people themselves, while showing the true power of kindness and hope. A perfect follow up to The Women (our Nov. selection), which brings to life the Vietnam War from an American perspective.
