Care Packages for the Unhoused Community In-Person

Are you looking for ways to give back to the community with time and service? Come to the Los Gatos Library with your family to make an assembly line of care packages for the unhoused. Together we will work to pack bags that hold basic hygiene and other personal care items as well as water and packaged snacks to provide a small help to the lives of our unhoused friends. It is an opportunity to get to know others in the community who desire to help, and a great exercise in thinking about others who may not have basic needs met. Afterwards, store these care packages in your car and hand them out as needed.

Registration is required and opens 3 weeks before the event.

The goods we will use for these care packages are purchased with grant funds from the Pacific Library Partnership.

Want other ways to help the community and can't make it to this event? Our Care Cabinet will constantly need donations. Please read more about it here.

The Los Gatos Library recognizes the diversity of our community and is committed to accessibility for all patrons. We strive to make every visitor feel comfortable by ensuring equal access to programs, services, and activities. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in a library program, please contact library@losgatosca.gov
